20 city establishments
get notices of closure

About 1,309 business establishments in the Bacolod City have been inspected by a joint inspection team  led   by Winnie Pabalinas  from the Permits and Licensing Division, a  press release from City Hall said.

The Licensing Division has issued  about  20 notices of closure to establishments that have failed to renew their permits this year, the press release said.

The list was submitted to the City Legal Office for further action if  these business owners fail to comply with the  notices, Pabalinas said.

Inspectors from the City Planning and Development Office – Zoning, Office of the Building Official City Health Office Bureau of Fire Protection and Environment and Natural Resources Office also helped in ensuring that all operating business establishments have secured their necessary permits and licenses, the press release said.

The inspection is actually favourable to the business owners because when the business renewal comes next year during the “One-Stop-Shop”, they will only present the data form to get clearances from concerned offices,  the press release said.

The team is will conduct inspections every Tuesday and Thursday of the week, the press release added.*
