Five thousand more jobs may be available in Bacolod City next year.
The jobs are expected with the start of construction by AyalaLand Inc. on property it is set to lease from the Negros Occidental provincial government, the expansion of the SM Mall, which includes a convention center, and the opening of the Negros First CyberCentre in Bacolod City, Metro Bacolod Chamber of Commerce and Industry president, Frank Carbon, said yesterday.
The expected employment will generate P25 million a month in circulation in the city’s economy next year, he said.
When this happens multipliers such as restaurants, transportation, boarding houses, and other small and medium businesses will add up to the revenue as the buying power of the masses grows strong, he said.
Meanwhile, the Department of Science and Technology, Regional Office, is looking for four Project Assistant II, or graphic designers.
Applicants must be Fine Arts or Information Technology graduates with good communication skills, good in records and documentation, and preferably has experience in food labeling.
Those accepted will receive a monthly salary of P17,255.
