The City Police Stations of Bago and San Carlos in Negros Occidental were both adjudged by the National Police Commission Monday as the third Most Citizen-Friendly Police Stations (city category) in the Western Visayas during the weeklong celebration of the National Crime Prevention Week in Iloilo City.
Supt. Arnel Arpon is the police chief of Bago City, while Supt. Victorino Romanillos heads the San Carlos City Police Station, all in Negros Occidental.

The Pulupandan Police Station, commanded by Senior Inspector Alan Reloj, in Negros Occidental, also made it to the top 5 finalists in the search for most citizen-friendly police station (municipal level) in Region 6 for 2013.
Napolcom regional director Marte Palomar led the presentation of awards to outstanding police units that included the Iloilo City Police Office Station 3, and the Roxas City Police Station in Capiz.
On the same day, the City Police Station of Victorias, headed by Supt. Santiago Rapiz, was also honored by Mayor Francis Frederick Palanca, after being adjudged as best city police station in Negros Occidental, based on the annual operational accomplishments of NOPPO, especially in the campaign against dangerous drugs, loose firearms, illegal gambling and wanted persons, among others.
Rapiz received the award during the flag-raising ceremony in front of the Victorias City Hall, attended by local government employees and the police.*GPB
