A 15-year-old house helper was being raped allegedly by her employer in a barangay in Bacolod City, since May 30, 2014.
Inspector Jinky Lou Ramos, chief of the Bacolod Police Women and Children Protection Desk, said the minor was subjected yesterday to medical examination.
The victim, who escaped from her employer last week, was seen by a concerned citizen at a waiting shed in a barangay in Bacolod, and helped her seek assistance, Ramos said.
At Station 8 on Saturday midnight, the minor said that the suspect pointed a knife at her and threatened to kill her if she let anyone know what was done to her.
She and her sister, 12, both from a town in the southern part of the province, were brought by a sibling of their father to the employer.
Ramos said they are waiting for probable cause that an abuse was really committed on the minor, before charges for rape will be filed against the employer, and also to rescue the victim’s sister, who is still in the house of the suspect.
However, Ramos said the minor could not determine the area where the house of her employer is located or his complete name. Some of her statements were also not consistent, she added.*SGG
