hit each other’

BY SHIELA GELERA

A priest and an 83-year-old woman, allegedly got violent in a church in Bacolod City, at about 9:45 a.m. yesterday.

The priest, whose name the DAILY STAR withheld, complained at Police Station 8 at about 11 a.m. yesterday that the woman, whose name was also withheld, slapped him, Inspector Ray Cordero said, quoting the blotter report.

Cordero said the complaints of the priest against the woman were for unjust vexation and threat.

About an hour later, the woman also went to Station 8 and reported that the priest also slapped her, which is considered physical injury, Cordero said.

Initial investigation showed that a heated argument had ensued between the two, but as to the cause of the dispute, the police are yet to find out, Cordero said.

The case was referred to the barangay for settlement, Cordero also said.*SGG
