Meganox, an antioxidant food supplement derived from sugarcane extract, was formally introduced to the market during its launching at L' Fisher Chalet in Bacolod City Monday night.

The food supplement is distributed by Forever Nutriliving Corp. a subsidiary company of Sagay Central, Inc.

Primitivo Rivera, SCI manager, said Meganox is the first anti-oxidant that comes from sugarcane extract and the production of the food supplement is done in their plant in Sagay City.

After the launching of Meganox in the province, Rivera said they intend to market it outside Negros Occidental and eventually in the United States within this year.

Rivera said he has taken the food supplement himself and noticed that he slept better, the lines on his face have reduced and his appetite and stamina has improved.

Miss Earth Air 2009 Sandra Inez Seifert, who is the brand ambassador of Meganox, said the food supplement will surely be a game changer in the market and will be able to compete with other food supplements with anti-oxidants.

Seifert said sugarcane extracts have higher oxygen radical absorbance capacity, a measurement  of anti-oxidant capacities compared to cherries, prunes and other fruits.

Meganox is also said to be more effective in preventing chronic degenerative health problems such as diabetes, high-blood pressure, cardiovascular diseases, high cholesterol, premature aging and cancer.*APN
