NOFA U13 tournament
kicks off today in Panaad

The Negros Occidental Football Association Under 13 Invitational Cup kicks off 8 a.m. today at the Panaad pitch in Brgy. Mansilingan, Bacolod City.

Twelve teams from around the country will participate in the 9-aside football competition organized by the Negros Occidental Football Association and Dynamic Football Club.

Manila teams are those of Malaya FC, La Salle Greens, Forza FC and Xavier School, while Barotac Nuevo, Santa Barbara and I, Pagasa teams are from Iloilo.

Crocodile FC, Negros Oriental Football Association, Jamindan and Don Bosco Technical College-Cebu, and host NOFA complete the list of the participating teams.

The teams were divided into two groups and will compete in a single round robin format with the top two teams advancing into the

crossover semifinals on April 11.

In today's opening match, Don Bosco will face Santa Barbara at 8:15 a.m. while Malaya FC will play against La Salle Greens in the second game.

Crocodile FC (Davao) will clash against Barotac Nuevo in the 10:20 a.m. match.

In the afternoon, Forza FC and Jamindan are pitted against each other in the 2 p.m. game, followed by the duel between I, Pag-asa and DBTC-Cebu.

The 4:20 p.m. match between Xavier and NORFA will cap the opening day schedule of the tournament.*MRG
