Host Negros Occidental Football Association unleashed its strength on the visiting Barotac Nuevo team with an 11-0 dominance in their second game in Group A of the NOFA Under 13 Invitational Cup at the Panaad pitch in Brgy. Mansilingan in Bacolod City yesterday.
The selected players from U13 squads in Negros Occidental mentored by Dave Javellana, took an early lead in the tournament with a 2-0 win-loss card after dominating Santa Barbara, 2-1, earlier.
With Barotac Nuevo and Santa Barbara falling into the hands of NOFA, another Iloilo-based team, I, Pag-asa Football Club managed to keep pace with the host team's production with back-to-back wins in Bracket B.
Pag-asa beat Jamindan, 9-0, and prevailed over Don Bosco Technical Institute-Cebu, 6-1, to take an early lead in their bracket.
Other results of the opening day matches showed Malaya FC turning back fellow Manila-based team La Salle Greens, 1-0, Barotac absorbing another loss against Davao FC, 4-2, and a 4-all draw between Negros Oriental Football Association and Xavier School.*MRG
