The Sandiganbayan 4th Division granted the motion filed by Bacolod Mayor Monico Puentevella and moved to May 14 his April 15 arraignment on the complaint filed against him and two others for the questionable purchase of about P26 million worth of an Information Technology package from his Priority Development Assistance Fund when he was yet congressman of Bacolod City.

Puentevlla's lawyers Redemptor Peig and Ralph  Sarmiento filed an omnibus motion asking that the court resolution dated March 13, be reconsidered and set aside and that his arraignment be cancelled and deferred until after the Supreme Court has resolved his petition for certiorari in SC-G.R. At  a press conference yesterday, Sarmiento said their motion was heard yesterday in the presence of Puentevella and the Office of the Special Prosecutor was given five days to file its comments. And the hearing of the motion was tentatively set on May 14. moremoremore
