Bacolod athletes rule
Panaad athletics events

Bacolod City athletes tallied 10 gold, 2 silver and 4 bronze medals to capture the overall championship in the athletics competition of the Panaad Sports Fest in Bacolod City.

Lynch Mananquil of Bacolod City topped the Under 14 boys' 800-meter run, while Marialyn Pantaliano of Don Salvador Benedicto town replicated the feat in the girls' department. Manangquil also ruled the 200-meter event.

Escalante City's Greg Lorega won the gold in the Under 18 boys' 800m as Bianca Vaflor did the same in the girls' category.

Kabankalan City's David Paul Balagat bagged the gold in Under 14 boys' 110m hurdles, while Tracey Mercado of Bacolod City reigned in the girls' group.

Gold medalists in the 110m hurdles event Under 18 category were Mark John Ordaniel of Victorias City and Abigail Gayares of Kabankalan.

Girls' discus throw was dominated by Calatrava town with two gold medals from Rhaye Claro in Under 14 group and Junalyn Bini in Under 18. Gold medalists in boys' discus throw were John Paul Plomeda (Under 14) and Elvin Kiel Suarez (Under 18).

Other gold medalists for Bacolod werer Tracey Mercado and Keir Lorenz.

Bacolod City also swept the relay events with gold medals in 4x400 M under 14 girls and boys and under 18 girls as well as in 4x100 M under 14 boys and girls.

Team from Victorias City finished in the first spot in 4x400 M and 4x100 M Under 18 boys while Escalante City in 4x100 M under 18 girls division.*MLG
