Road rehab 50% completed
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
The road rehabilitation project now being implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways along Lacson-Burgos streets to the Reclamation Area in Brgy. 10, Bacolod City, is already 50 percent ahead of schedule, Bacolod Rep. Evelio Leonardia said during an ocular inspection of the area yesterday.
Leonardia said his office had requested the engineers and contractors to hasten the work on the two kilometer project before the Asia Pacific Economic Cooperation meeting on April 29 and 30.
This is part of the tourism convergence fund and the justification they gave for seeking it is that there is a port in the area, he said.
