An American lawyer and entrepreneur is eyeing a small scale Business Outsourcing Firm at the Negros First CyberCenter this year.
E. Mark Ross, who is also the chief executive officer of TableBrain.com, a game developer firm based in the United States, said he will put up a back office type of service related to accounting.
Ross said he chose to put up his firm in Negros Occidental because of the low tax rates here, the city has good peace and order, and the CyberCentere is a good place to do business in as it is economically zoned.
On top of that, Negrenses also have good graphical and other vocational skills, he said.
Ross intends to hire least 10 employees and Negrenses will be his priority. He was also a consultant of the Association of Negros Producers.
Meanwhile, Jocelle Batapa-Sigue, Executive Director of Bacolod-Negros Occidental Federation for Information and Communications Technology, said a Hongkong based BPO firm is also interested in renting a space at the CybreCenter
So far, aside from Ubiquity Global Solutions that is occupying the second floor of the CyberCenter's Lacson Wing, no other BPO firm is occupying the NFCC.*APN
