The Don Bosco Philippines, in line with its 200 years in the country and 48 years in Dumaguete City this year, will unveil its bi-centennial building and has tapped the Carlos and Antique Architects company to construct it, a press release from the firm said.
The new elementary building is envisioned to be a 2-storey, 10-classroom facility that will integrate passive green architecture, which means it will be airy, has a large overhang to ensure that classrooms are cooler, and that its corridor will be wider for student exhibits, reception, and informal gatherings, the press release also said.
It will be designed by Ned Carlos, principal architect of the firm, who said the building is also going to be barrier-free for the physically-challenged”, the press release added.*
