Class '82 captured the championship in the premiere division, as Golden and Batch '95 ruled Category B and C of the 2015 Negros Occidental High School General Alumni Homecoming Inter-class Emerald Bowling Tournament at the Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.
In the battle of top 10 bowlers the winners were Essho Garcia of Batch '95 and Mary Ann Dayot of Class'82.
The'82 pin crushers led by Cesar Sumaylo won the Class A title over Batch '85 led by Iran Pielago in the championship, 539-528, to bag the top prize.
The members of the champion team were Mae Trayfalgar, Azela Tejada, Mary Jean Guiritan and Joemarie Biasca were Cesar Sumaylo, Edwin Sarcepuedes, Rey Boy, Glenn Salanap, Mary Ann Dayot, Erlan Menesses, Felix Victor Amante, Ems Gemora and Lorelie Quirino.
Batch '66 led by Edgar Baldonado was second runner-up, while'73 headed by Eveline Lingco and Batch '90 headed by Michael Corral were third and fourth runners-up, respectively.
In Category B the winner was the Golden Team bowlers who defeated the twice-to-beat '65 anchored by Dan Dadivas in the deciding contest, 516-492.
Playing for Golden Team were Jessie Arevalo, Jun Garrucho, Ed Estrella, Jerry Bantilan, Emily and Ed Jara.
Class '80 was third, while'89 and'87 were fourth and fifth.
In Category C, Batch '95 won over '94 in the final showdown to win the title with a score of 498-472.
The members of the champion team were Effie Macasa, Cheryl Baclay, Micaela Ayubo, Yenz Gepana, Bonifacio Balontong Jr., Victoriana Saloria, Stephen Dormido and Essho Garcia.
Second to fourth runners-up were Class '70, '71 and Batch '99.
Class'82 set the record in highest team single and triple with 580 and 1,594, respectively.
The individual record holders were Richard Secuelan of Batch'91 in the men's highest pinning with 98, as Edgar Vargas of '85 and Felipe Boy Romero Jr. of '73 in single and triple with 165 and 396 points each.
Gerly Pineda and Grace Diopenes with '91 in pinning and single with 94 and 129 respectively and '87 bet Gearla Manderico in the women's triple with 337.
The awarding will be held today at 10 a.m. at the school Quadrangle, when NOHS, one of the oldest high schools in the province, celebrates its Annual General Alumni Homecoming.
