Silliman marks
114th Founders Day

The 114 th Founders Day celebration of Silliman University in Dumaguete City opened with a Sunday service at the SU Church yesterday, with Dr. Everett Mendoza, former vice president for Academic Affairs of SU, and now professor at the Divinity School, as guest speaker.

This year's theme, “Via, Veritas, Vita: Now and Always”, is inspired by a Biblical passage taken from John 14:6: “Jesus answered, ‘I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me'”, a press release from Silliman said.

Founders Day in Silliman is a tourist attraction in itself. It gathers alumni, friends and tourists from around the country and abroad to a celebration of friendship.moremoremore
