BY GILBERT BAYORAN
Four suspects in the killing of an American and his Negrense wife have all been accounted for by the police, with their arrest Monday night and yesterday in Brgys. Puey and Bato, Sagay City, Negros Occidental.
The apprehension of the four suspects, who were workers of the slain couple engaged in organic farming, also yielded valuable items and cash, including a 9mm Parabellum pistol, that had been stolen by the suspects, Senior Inspector Lawrence Gerald Bathan, Murcia police officer-in-charge, yesterday said.
Apprehended on Monday night in Sitio Dahlia, Brgy. Puey, Sagay City, were Randy Nunez, 25, Ralph Medel, 18, and his 16-year-old brother, whose identity is being withheld, for being a minor.
Some suspects
conscience-stricken
BY GILBERT BAYORAN
Suspects Randy Nunez and Ralph Medel yesterday said they are remorseful over what they did to American Kevin Fleischauer and his Negrense wife, Lolly Mangilaya, whose bodies they had dumped in a deep well in Brgy. Blumentritt, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
Nunez said he could not sleep well because of the incident while Medel said he regrets what they did, but claimed that they had been getting harsh treatment from the wife of Fleischauer, as workers at their farm.
Nunez claimed that they were fed noodles and canned sardines, and worked without time to rest.

Woman shot in Dumaguete
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE
A woman was injured in a shooting incident at Lukewright Street in Dumaguete City recently, but she was able to identify her alleged assailant, who was arrested in a follow-up operation.
Supt. Jovito Atanacio, Dumaguete police officer in charge, said Lou Ann Ybañez sustained a gunshot wound in her face but survived the attack and positively identified the suspect as a certain Shaun Ronald Sotto Chiong, alias “Tamoy,” 36, of C. Padilla Street in Cebu City.
A follow-up investigation by personnel of the City Intelligence Division led to the arrest of the suspect at a bingo house in Bagacay, Dumaguete City. He was brought to his rented room at Pamela's pensionne house in Tubod, Barangay Looc, Dumaguete, where assorted illegal drugs paraphernalia, such as improvised tooters, burners, tinfoil, and lighters were found, police records show.
