‘Token for Mary' charity
concert set Sept. 8

The “Token for Mary” charity concert will be held at the Our Lady's Hall, Colegio del Sagrado Corazon de Jesus at General Hughes Street in Iloilo City, 7 p.m. on September 8.

The concert aims to raise funds for the abandoned and neglected older persons, impoverished children, youth and families of Asilo de Molo, and the financially handicapped but deserving Basic Education Seton scholars.

Other beneficiaries are the afternoon high school classes and students of the Sagrado Alternative Evening School, and the Sagrado's Ati kinder pupils of Boracay.

Charity diva Token Lizares, comedian Angel of Miss3tres, singer Joanne Bernal, Dr. Sherwin Rodrigo, Romeo Orcajada and the Retro Jam Fusion will perform at the concert.

Lizares appealed to Bacoleños and Negrenses to support the concert, as helping is not based on distance, location or race. “God's love is everywhere and we need to help those people in need,” she added.

Tickets are sold at P500 and P1,000. Those who wish to support, donate or buy tickets may contact Lizares at 0920-8263953.*SGG
