Stallions capture BACGEBA title

Stallions nipped Gilas, 113-111, in game three of their-best-of-three final series to bag the title in the 9th Bacolod City Government Employees’ Basketball Association, a press release from organizers said.

The champion team was led by Raymundo Sapa Jr. of the General Services Office, who scored 28 points, including four triples, while Benedick Ledesma backed him up with 21 points and teammates Zane Rey Ledesma of the City Veterinary Office and Martin Pinaga of the Department of Public Services with 16 and 14 points, respectively.

Rogelio Flores of the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office led Gilas’ offense with 25 points and 6 rebounds, the press release said.

Coaches and members of the administrative and technical working group for the Private Schools Athletic Association national championship met yesterday in Iloilo to finalize the details of the competition that will be hosted by Iloilo City on April 9 to 18.

Roger Banzuela, PRISAA executive regional director for Western Visayas, said the separate meetings with the coaches and the administrative and technical working group, were held at John B. Lacson Foundation Maritime University in Molo, Iloilo City.

Banzuela said the meeting was held to finalize the plans and preparations for the national meet.
