Nietes to defend title
against Mexican Ceja

World Boxing Organization light flyweight champion and Philippines longest reigning world titlist, Donnie Nietes, will defend his belt against Mexican Luis Ceja in Pinoy Pride 30 on March 28 at the SM Mall of Asia Arena.

The fight between Nietes and Ceja is a co-main event during the boxing spectacle that will also feature Nonito Donaire Jr.'s comeback bout against Brazilian William Prado.

In the undercard is the exciting fight between Albert Pagara and Mexican knockout artist Rodolfor Hernandez.

Touted as one of the country’s next boxing superstars, Pagara will be fighting his second straight battle against a Mexican foe.

Pagara, who is 22-0 with 15 KOs, will take on Hernandez, who stopped his foes in 24 of his 26 wins.

The Mexican, who is 26-5-1 with 24 Kos is a knockout artist who has also been knocked out four times in five losses, the last three coming in his last six fights.

His non-KO loss by unanimous decision to Andres Romero (14-1).

The 28-year-old Mexican stopped Mario Briones (25-3-2) in the first round but that was for a scheduled six-rounder and prior that he was stopped in the second round by Jesus Santillan, a journeyman who has a woeful 5-10-10 record.*PNA
