ILC awards night

Island Living Channel recently held its awards night and Christmas party at Sugarland Hotel in Bacolod City. It was an intimate affair, yet full of fun, prizes, gifts and games! The awards night was graced by the Caram family, with the employees and staff of the television network.

Awarded as employee of the year for 2014 was Joshua Torres, and service awardee was Kaine Corteza, for being the pioneer employee of the TV network since the very day it was founded. Both received cash prizes and an electric fan. The chairman’s award for 2014 went to Antero Adenix Jr., who received a brand-new flat screen television set, and special awardee was admin staff member, Christine Salveijo, for having perfect attendance.

ILC was founded by RCJ, with Gabriel Caram, vice chairman; Dr. Radcibel Caram-Sanchez, president; Dr. Lucy Caram, vice president for treasury; and Em Caram, AVP treasury. It is known for its thrust of promoting the best of the Philippine islands to its millions of viewers throughout the archipelago.

What started as a humble television channel airing only in Bacolod has grown significantly and is currently broadcasting in 120 cities and towns across Luzon, the Visayas and Mindanao.

The Bacolod Cultural Foundation, led by Cely Mirano and vice president Celia Ferrer, will award today the winners of the recent Belen contest participated in by 17 churches in Bacolod City.

The “Church with the Best Belen” is the San Antonio Abad Parish, second place – Tangub San Isidro Labrador Church, and third – Carmelite Monastery.

Other officers of the foundation are Pacita Adeva, secretary; Ninah Comia, treasurer; Viol Caram, P.R.O.; and Norma Garbanzos, auditor; with Elsie Gonzaga, Angie Echaus, John Orola, Gilda Puey, Emily Zayco, and Charito Parreno as directors.*
