Tornadoes hit
houses in Bago, Silay

Two houses were destroyed and seven damaged when a tornado hit Brgy. Bagroy in Bago City, 11:30 a.m. yesterday.

Provincial Health Officer and OIC-Provincial Social Welfare and Development Officer, Dr. Ernell Tumimbang, reported that nine families with 35 individuals were affected by the tornado.

The affected families are currently staying in their relatives' houses while the Local Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council of Bago City are currently attending to the affected individuals, he said.

In Silay, a tornado also damaged a house and a mango tree in Barangay Mambulac at around 3:30 p.m. yesterday, an initial police report shows.*
