NPBC/RJ Stars striker Raymund Gargar topped the elimination round to emerge as the favorite player to win the master bowler title of the 1 st Davies Cup Mixed Rated Trio Bowling Spectacle 2015 at the Super Lanes and Entertainment Center of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City. Going into tonight's final round starting at 6 p.m., Gargar averaged 113.33 points per game, while Toto Flores of Abrakadabra – S occupied the second spot with 111.14 followed by Essho Garcia of Rapha Team with 110 points. The other contenders for the individual title are Metro Sales star player Michael Corral with 109.95; NBPC/RJ Stars Rey Gargar, 109.62; Lyndon Reyes (JMC), 108.45; Joval Damasco (RJ Stars/NPBC), 108.45; Melchor Semillano (RJ Stars/NPBC), 107.73; Felipe Boy Romero (Davies I), 107.33, and Joe Latoza (Davies II), 105.91. The aspirants will play three games each and the top four survivors will then play in an up-the-ladder system to determine the master bowler. Meanwhile, Abrakadabra-S earned the twice-to-beat advantage in the championship of the top four survivors on July 9 (Thursday), after posting the highest score in the elimination rounds. Fighting for the right to challenge them in the battle for the top prize are Rey Oreta's Metro Sales, NPBC RJ Stars of Steve Po and Silverado ASSFBI of Cecil Ramon Silverio. It will be NBPC versus ASSFBI in the first game, and the winner between them takes the floor against MS for the opportunity to face Abrakadabra – S in the final showdown. On the other hand, the 3 rd Inter-school Alumni Bowling Tournament For Unity 2015 will unfold on July 19, 2015 at the Super Bowling Lanes. Bowling teams from Hervias National High School, Bacolod Tay Tung High School, Bacolod City National High School, Negros Occidental High School, Domingo Lacson National High School, Bago City National High School, St. Joseph High School, University of St. La Salle, University of Negros Occidental Recoletos, LCC - Bacolod, among others are invited to participate. NOHS Combined Strikers and DLNHS Bowlers won in the premiere division of the 1 st and 2 nd Inter-school event at the same venue.
