New hospital building

The groundbreaking for the construction of the new seven-storey building of the Dr. Pablo O. Torre Memorial Hospital, operated by the Riverside Medical Center, was held June 26 in Bacolod City.

DPOTMH president and chief executive officer, Genesis Goldi Golingan, led the groundbreaking and laying of the time capsule in the parking lot behind the hospital compound, and he was joined by members of the Board of Directors of the hospital, other officials and staff.

The project is called the master plan building and a scale model of it was displayed during the event.

Of course, there was an array of delicious food for all the guests who came. Among them were Bacolod Rep. Evelio Leonardia and Mayor Monico Puentevella. Also in attendance were Augusto Palisoc Jr., president of the Metro Pacific Hospital Holdings; Epifanio Torre, director of the DPOTMH and corporate strategic officer; Filoteo Jacinto, project consultant of the master plan building, among others.

It was a happy occasion for officials of the DPOTMH and their guests, knowing that the project, when finished, will increase the capacity of the hospital to accommodate more patients and provide them better healthcare services.

The new building will also have a helipad, for patients transported through medical helicopters. Congratulations, DPOTMH!

Remember: When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice. But when the wicked rule, the people mourn.*
