More votes for Jaojoco in recount
BY CARLA GOMEZ

Toboso Mayor Richard Jaojoco said the court-ordered manual recount of the votes in the 2013 election in his town was completed last night and showed that he won by more votes than in the Precinct Count Optical Scan machines' results.

The manual recount had been sought by defeated Toboso mayoral candidate Ma. Luisa dela Cruz, in a case filed before the San Carlos Regional Trial Court.

San Carlos RTC Judge Kathrine Go is expected to issue a ruling on the results of the recount soon.

Jaojoco last night said in the PCOS count in 2013, D ela Cruz had 7,813 votes and he had 9,671, or a lead of 1,858 votes.

In the manual count, Dela Cruz had 7,881 and he had 9,746, or a lead of 1,865, up by seven votes, he said.

Jaojoco said the manual recount did not change the winners in the 2013 Toboso polls, and proves the accuracy of the PCOS machines.*CPG
