‘Ethanol plant has ECC'
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

The Fuel Ethanol Plant in Tamisu, Bais City, Negros Oriental, was issued an Environmental Compliance Certificate on May 30, 2014, records of the Provincial Environmental Management Unit in the province show.

This was after Bais Mayor Mercy Teves Goni said the plant operates without a mayor's permit and an occupancy permit.

Officer-in-charge Loreto Rivac of PEMU, that is under the Environmental Management Bureau of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, said the discharge permit for the plant's wastewater treatment facility has not been issued yet. moremoremore
