The Perpetual Help Community Credit Cooperative Inc. opened its new office building at Nonoy Limbaga Drive in Tanjay City, Negros Oriental, yesterday, and Danny Cabahug, chairman of the Board of Directors of PHCCI said this is another proof that the cooperative is growing.

Rev. Fr. Lad Bryan Lawrence Ligutom blessed the building, while City Administrator Arnel Vivar and Cabahug led in the ribbon cutting. Other members of the Board present were Judge Antonio Alcatara, Drs. Profetiza Lim and Anthony Duran, and fiscal Joseph Arnel Zerna; general manager Michael Johann Hojas and section heads and staff of PHCCI Dumaguete City.

Maricar Aranas Vensuelo, PHCCI marketing and advertisement coordinator, said in a press release that Cabahug told members/owners to “enjoy the comfort of the more spacious building”, and challenged them not to forget their responsibility to the cooperative.

The Tanjay branch, the first for the PHCCI, has 6,631 regular members. The cooperative has total asset of P188 million as of June 30 this year, and its branches include those in Bayawan City, Sibulan, Valencia, Bais City and Jimalalud all in Negros Oriental, and in Siquijor province, Tagbilaran, Bohol, and Carcar, Cebu.

In August, the PHCCI will also open its new satellite office at the Robinsons Mall in Dumaguete City, Vensuelo said.*JFP
