Fyr Fyter streaks past Robles,
JKT AcCESsorize tames 888
BY NIDA BUENAFE

Fyr Fyter Mktg. dominated Robles Dental Clinic in the second half for an emphatic 101-74 victory, while Johann Kendrick Tan- AcCESsorize held off 888 Premier, 89-76, in recent Class B action of the Fil-Sino Inter-Color Basketball Tournament at Bacolod Tay Tung High School Po Hang Gym.

Robles Dental emerged on top at halftime, 45-42, with Deonyson Dy, RJ Iligan, Keith Banzon and Ken Banzon hitting from the outside but the tempo changed in the second half as Fyr Fyter came up with a balanced third quarter offense.

Pao Pao Lim and Mark Yu anchored the third quarter rally that produced 30 points for the Fyr Fyter and put them ahead, 72-53, going into the payoff period.

Keith Banzon and Aldrian Tan tried to wrest back the momentum on Robles Dental side but their combined 14-point output was not enough to stop Fyr Fyter from claiming victory.

Lim paced Fyr Fyter with 22 points while Yu added 18, Tubby Villanueva and Noriel Bermudez finished with 11 points each as Brix Arrobang added 10 and Errol Su hit 8 points.

Keith Banzon led Robles with 14 points, Ken Banzon and Dy picked up 10 markers, Iligan and Celhelm Uy tallied 9 and Tan chipped in 8 points.

Meanwhile JKT AcCESorize spoiled the 43-point tournament high output of Edward John Uy to notch its second win.

Jeremy Coo and Aaron Arroyo combined for 18 points to jumpstart the JKT offense for a 25-17 lead even as Uy scored 12 points for 888 Premier.

A 13-point production from Jose Miguel Montinola and 10 points from Leonard Kilayko gamed JKT a 13-point lead at the break even as Uy scored 11 points and Brian Ong hitting 7 markers for 888.

Another 10-point explosion from Ervin Tan gave JKT a 76-52 lead, negating Uy's 14-point rampage for 888 Premier.

Montinola finished the game with 27 points to lead JKT players while Kilayko had 16 points. Coo added 13 points and Tan hit 12 points.

Backstopping Uy in a losing effort were Brian Ong with 11 points, Ramon Sy added 8, and David Tan with 6 points.*NAB
