Pacific Ads captures
D-League title
Hard work paid off for the Pacific Ads squad after routing erstwhile league leader Chromic, 96-87, in the championship game to capture the title in the D-League Basketball 1st Conference Invitational Basketball at the STI-West Negros University gym.
Pacific Ads started with a 21-16 first quarter lead on Talisay City Vice-Mayor Niel Lizares' 8 points as Saje Policarpio, Andy Tio and Jake dela Paz delivered 4 points each, a press release from D-League said.
Nikol Medina also caught fire and scored 12 points for Pacific Ads to protect the lead despite Romar Villarosa and Jorge delos Reyes trying to keep the game close for Chromic.

Bad Boys, BBC prevail Defending champion Bad Boys nipped reigning runner-up iMart, 91-90, while Bacolod Basketball Club pulled off an 86-81 win against 7-Eleven during Wednesday night's tussle in the PROBAC Invitational Basketball 2 nd Conference at the STI-West Negros University gym. With the win, both Bad Boys and BBC delivered iMart and 7-Eleven to their third straight setback in the tournament, a press release from the organizers said. After four quarters of trying to outscore each other, the Bad Boys managed to install a 4-point lead with seconds away from the final buzzer, good enough to seal the win despite a Patrick Echarri's buzzer-beater triple for iMart. |
