A policeman has been tagged by witnesses as the alleged gunman in the killing of Negros Occidental Board Member Renato Malabor and his bodyguard in Isabela town on June 28.

PO1 Robert Chloe Rito, assigned at the Isabela police station, was positively identified by three witnesses as the alleged gunman, Senior Supt. Peter Naboye, Criminal Investigation and Detection Group regional officer and member of the Special Investigation Task Group (SITG) Malabor, said yesterday.

Rito, six others indentified as the lookouts in the crime, and several John Does were officially charged by the police before the Negros Occidental Provincial Prosecutor's Office in Bacolod City yesterday for the murder of Malabor, 55, and his bodyguard Leody Jomilla, 52.moremoremore

The policeman linked to the murder of Negros Occidental Board Member Renato Malabor and his bodyguard, yesterday denied involvement in the twin killings.

Police Officer 1 Robert Rito, who is assigned at the Isabela Police Station, was among those charged for two counts of murder before the Negros Occidental Prosecutor's Office.

Rito told RMN DYHB that he had nothing to do with the deaths of Malabor and his bodyguard, Leody “Butch” Jomilla, on June 28 in Brgy. Guintubhan, Isabela town.

Barangay officials may also be granted the Productivity Enhancement Incentive, as mandated by Executive Order 181 of President Benigno Aquino, provided it is within the personnel services limitation of the barangay.

The clarification was made by the Organization, Position, Classification, and Compensation Bureau of the Department of Budget and Management, after queries were sent by barangay officials, including that of the Dumaguete Liga ng mga Barangay, represented by Councilor Lionel Banogon.

Banogon said he received a communication from the National Barangay Operations Office of DBM, through OIC director Leocado Trovela, dated July 28, adding he immediately sent copies of it to all 30 barangays of Dumaguete. moremoremore
