for team Negros
IN BATTLE FOR COUNTRY'S TOP POSTS: VG
BY CARLA GOMEZ
Let's continue to push for a Negrense team for president and vice president in 2016, Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said yesterday.
Lacson, like Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., wants that tandem to have Local Government Secretary Mar Roxas running for president with Senator Grace Poe as his running mate.
If both run for the same post they will split the Negrense votes and allow someone else to win, he said.
Monico: Link to FIFA
‘politically motivated'
BY CHRYSEE SAMILLANO
Bacolod Monico Puentevella said yesterday that his request to travel to Switzerland had nothing to do with the FIFA election.
Puentevella said the Sandiganbayan did not want him to go anywhere and it was just coincidental that there was a FIFA congress. It was used for politics, he claimed.
However, Puentevella, had earlier filed an urgent motion for reconsideration asking the Sandiganbayan Fourth Division to set aside its May 22 resolution denying his request to travel abroad to attend a football congress.

Among these are the practice of some teachers to make a run-around when their students need their signatures for their clearances, while some declare a specific day when to sign the clearances, he said
