NIR regional directors

A directive is set to be issued for all national government agencies to designate their Negros Island Region acting regional directors, former Negros Occidental Gov. Rafael Coscolluela said yesterday.

Heads of more than 35 regional offices to be set up in the NIR will be needed, who could come from the existing assistant regional directors of national agencies in Western and Central Visayas, Coscolluela said.

Coscolluela and Assistant Provincial Legal Officer, Mary Ann Manayon-Lamis, representing Negros Occidental, met with DILG Undersecretary Austere Panadero yesterday to give their inputs on the implementing rules and regulations for the NIR.moremoremore

Villar - Three from NP
eyeing presidency, too

The Nacionalista Party will name its presidential candidate for 2016 after her partymates have come up with a decision, Senator Cynthia Villar said yesterday.

Villar said three NP members – senators Antonio Trillanes IV, Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos, and Allan Peter Cayetano – have expressed their intention to run for president.

“We are waiting for them to decide whether they are running or not. If not, we will support other candidates,” she said.

NegOr SP OKs P28M PEI
for Capitol employees

The Sangguniang Panlalawigan of Negros Oriental allotted more than P28 million for the Productivity Enhancement Incentive of Capitol employees as reward for exceeding agency financial and operational performance targets.

The PEI is provided for in Executive Order 181, signed by President Benigno Aquino III, dated May 25 this year. Section 1 of the order states the one-time grant of the PEI which is equivalent to either P5,000 across the board, or one month basic salary of a government employee.
