National information and communications technology (ICT) industry leaders will be among the speakers at the Negros Occidental ICT Talent Development Expo 2015 that opens at The District, Ayala North Point, in Talisay City.
The conference starts today simultaneous with the first day of the exhibitions that will last until June 29 at The District, a press release from Bacolod Councilor Jocelle Batapa Sigue said.
Governor Alfredo Marañon Jr. will lead in the ribbon-cutting ceremony together with industry leaders.
Speakers are Jose Mari Mercado, president of the Information Technology – Business Process Association of the Philippines, Jonathan Defensor De Luzuriaga, president of the Philippine Software Industry Association, Butch Valenzuela, president and CEO of the Visaya Knowledge Process Outsourcing Corporation, and Frederick Amores, head of the Visayas Cluster 1 of the Information and Communications Technology Officer of the Department of Science and Technology, the press release said.
Topics include discussion about the IT-BPM industry forecast, opportunities in software development and healthcare information management, rural impact sourcing, and startups, it added.*
