ARBOs earn at trade fair
BY PEACE S. FLORES

The six agrarian reform beneficiaries organizations from Negros Occidental that joined the June 16-19 Trade Fair at the DAR Provincial Office in Bacolod City earned a total of P27,088 from the activity.

Provincial Agrarian Reform Program Officer II Lucresia Taberna yesterday said they are planning to hold more trade fairs every quarter of the year to help the ARB's in sustaining their livelihood.

There is more that can be done to uplift the lives of our farmer beneficiaries and we need everyone's cooperation, Taberna said.

She added that their office is thankful to all the individuals and groups who helped make the trade fair a success.

The trade fair helped introduced the ARBO's to the existing markets for their products.

The trade fair featured cultured fresh mushrooms, fresh vegetables, jams and pickles, sugarcane juice, vermi compost, Peking duck eggs, fresh milk, ginger and turmeric tea, as well as red, brown, black and white organic rice.

Vendors also sold bags, hats and other handicrafts at the trade fair.*PSF
