The Negros Occidental provincial government is interested to buy property located within the Third District of the province, a press release from the Office of the Provincial General Services said.
The land will be utilized as a site for resettlement and livelihood projects in accordance with the development agenda of the provincial government.
Lucille Chavez-Pines, PGSO Head, said the property must be contiguous or consist of adjacent areas of more or less 90 to 120 hectares; not more than 15 kilometers from the city proper; must be accessible to national or provincial roads by not more than 5 kilometers; with available power and water sources; without encumbrances, and not covered by the agrarian reform program, or with certification of agrarian reform program exemption.

with BIR compliance: VG
Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson said yesterday that agrarian reform beneficiaries should be assisted in complying with the documentary requirements for Revenue Regulation 11-2014, which imposes a one percent tax on their raw sugar and molasses upon withdrawal from the mills.
He said Commissioner Kim Henares of the Bureau of Internal Revenue is just doing her job to collect taxes from those who have income.
As she explained recently, the law has been there for some time now, and we should understand her position.
