SJI ,STA spikers eye Aspirants title St. John’s Institute and St. Theresita Academy of Silay will face each other on Saturday to contest the volleyball girls’ title of the Negros Occidental Private Schools Sports Cultural Educational Association at the University of St. La Salle Covered Court. The SJI girls, with a twice-to-beat advantage on their side, hope to extend their win streak against STA whom they beat in the semifinals, 25-21, 25-8. The STA squad, however, will not be an easy prey as the squad secured the No. 1 spot in Bracket B after the elimination and went on to beat USLS-is in the semifinals, 25-18, 25-23 to arrange a titular showdown with SJI. |
