The Dumaguete City government, through the City Tourism Office, held a tourism road show in Barangay Tinago Wednesday aimed to enhance and contribute to the social cohesion and cultural preservation of the community by organizing events in the barangay level.
City Tourism Officer Woodrow Maquiling Jr. said that, through the event, the city aims to promote cultural awareness, thus enriching Dumaguete's heritage, arts and tradition, and serving as venue to help build and promote the local artists.
It will also optimize the contribution of tourism industry to the inclusive growth of the city, through a barangay cultural tourism fair, he added.
Present at the road show were Dumaguete Mayor Manuel Sagarbarria, Rep. George Arnaiz (Neg. Or., 2 nd District), Tinago Barangay Captain Orlando Angot, and kagawads Marivic Gonzales, Marina Maturan, Angle Arrieta, Alva Longa, Saulo Baybay, Jugemar Canete and Rosendo Ozoa.*RG
