DILG conducts disaster
resiliency youth camp
BY RENE GENOVE

The Department of Interior and Local Government-Negros Oriental held a provincial disaster preparedness dialog as a component of Operation Listo at Bethel the Guest House in Dumaguete City recently, a press release from the DILG said.

The dialog provided an avenue for the LRIs/academe, civil society organizations, the private sector, and the media to further appreciate and identify their roles in building disaster resilient communities and to fight against the adverse impact of disasters before, during, and after its actual hit.

Today marks the first day of the “Wemboree”, a disaster resiliency youth camp aimed at changing the mindset from "me" to "we", and is one of the components of “Operation Listo” that is geared towards informing every Filipino of the importance of disaster preparedness.*RG
