Aida's 80 th birthday

The children of the celebrator, Alex, Marilu, John and Matet, orchestrated and planned everything to ensure the successful 80 th birthday celebration of their mom, Aida Lopez Marañon, recently.

These included planning the food to be served, calling all relatives, friends and table swimming buddies, and the program.

The celebrator was elated by the arrival of her first apo, Alexa Yupangco, with her father and mother in-law, Boy and Agnes Santiago, from New York City. Balikbayans Bebing and Fred Parker, and Graham Charles East from London were also present.

A program emceed by Alexa was held after dinner with the grandchildren of the celebrator, headed by John Ledesma. The Sagay Rural Bank employees, and the Golden Girls Swimming group performed dance numbers. Lina Lim and Edgard Gallo did the Argentine Tango on special request of Aida.

The celebrator blew out the candles on her birthday cake, with Governor Freddie Marañon by her side and then followed table-hopping for pictures, and then dancing.
