Pacquiao was our winner

We arrived at L'Fisher Grand Hotel at around 10:30 a.m. to watch the “Fight of the Century” and we proceeded to the La Proa Hall to get our reserved tickets and to our surprise, almost all seats had already been taken.

On the screen we could see that the MGM Grand Arcade in Las Vegas was full of boxing aficionados, big Hollywood stars and the rich and famous. It was fully packed in spite of the very expensive tickets.

When the much-awaited fight started, I noticed that, on the way to the ring, the team of Floyd Mayweather Jr. was poker-face, while that of our Pambasang Kamao, Manny “Pacman” Pacquiao, was all charming and smiling.

After watching the fight, Perla, Ninfa, and Nena Leonardia, and I, could not believe that our own Manny lost. We all thought he was the sure winner. The crowd, maybe 98 percent of them, were saying that in their own observation, Pacquiao won. Some friends just ate and left hurriedly, so frustrated were they, while some called the victory of Mayweather Mafia-style!!!

We stayed for almost four hours after the fight, talking and discussing about it and chatting with some friends who dropped by. To us, all, Pacman is still the winner, and no justification can convince us otherwise.*

Reminder: In the midst of troubles, peace can be found in Jesus. Fellowship with Christ is the secret of fruitfulness for Him.*
