Fairytales of Isabela
The recent coronation of Isabela's Children's Fancy Ball king Rafael Abello, and queen Pamela Jalandoni, both descendants of Isabela's aristocracy, brought back memories of old, where fairy tales do come true in this quaint town.
Isabela was then known for its pomp and exuberant grand fiestas, and where stories of these memorable events were the talk of the nearby towns and cities for months. This 2015, the coronation brought back the lavishness of Isabela's Children's Fancy Ball King and Queen.
Rafael is the grandson of fighting cock legend, Nene and Nena Abello, and son of haciendero Miles Anthony Montinola-Abello and Dr. Ma. Elena Lenchen Ruiz De Luzuriaga. Pamela is the daughter of Francis Joseph Jalandoni and Pamela Henares.
The two were crowned in a pompous production, witnessed by their royal court, politicians, family, friends and guests. The administration of Isabela municipal mayor Enrique Montilla III revived the grand old days of Isabela, with a promising agricultural, commercial and industrial future. Long live, Isabela!*
