A day for Mothers

Many families from Bacolod and Negros Occidental celebrated Mother's Day, May 10.

On my way to the L'Fisher Hotel, I passed several restaurants and eateries, and noticed them filled with lovely people.

I joined the table of Delia Ciocon Granada and balikbayan couple Stella and Baby Mora from Australia, who have decided to stay for good in Bacolod. Two tables away were Zenia Esteban and friends. There were also balikbayans Nor Armonio from Vancouver, Canada, with lovely wife Leymar, a retired sales supervisor at YVR Airport, and son Manolet, who worked at 3-D Modeler game design, as well as Marilou Lacson from Los Angeles, with special guests, Rudy and Nora Tinsay.

Aside from watching mothers and lolas dining with their families and loved ones, I enjoyed the dishes prepared, and it was almost 2:30 p.m. when I left the place.

Happy Mother's Day.*

Remember: If you are tempted to lose patience with another, stop and think of how patient God has been with you. Delay is not denial, so keep praying.*
