Dogwalk to be held
Sunday in Bacolod

The “Summer Kapamilya Dogwalk” will be held by the Responsible Dog Owners of Bacolod and ABS-CBN Bacolod, Sunday at the Bacolod Government Center, with onsite registration at 5 a.m. and the dog walk at 6 a.m., a press release from RDOB said.

RDOB founder and administrator, Robert Cabalfin, said the walk-for-a-cause will share half of its proceeds with Balay Dalangpan of ABS-CBN, and the other half for the group's advocacy on giving a free seminar on responsible dog ownership, rabies education, awareness and prevention, and basic dog obedience training tips and demonstrations to schools and communities, the press release also said.

This is our way of contributing to society, by educating dog owners to be more responsible for a safe dog and dog friendly community, as RDOB supports the no stray dogs policy under Republic Act 9482, or the Anti-Rabies Act of 2007, Cabalfin added in the press release.

Registration fee is P50 each dog or person, and this includes snacks and one entry for a raffle draw. Pre-registration is ongoing at the My MVP Spa and Wellness Center, Glamchiq Pet Salon and Spa, Bark and Bathe, or at Tiffany's Confections, the press release added.*
