Sibulan boundary
dispute tackled
BY JUANCHO GALLARDE

Officials of three barangays in Sibulan town, Negros Oriental, that have boundary disputes met with Mayor Emmanuel Diputado for a possible solution.

Diputado said the dispute came about when a survey group introduced to the local government unit a map that affect the boundaries of barangays Ajong, Looc and Manincao.

He said a big chunk of Manincao could go to Ajong if not properly surveyed using an approved matrix. He called the barangay officials to a meeting to make sure that not one of them is disadvantaged, and that the decision will be fair to all.

He also said that the area of certain LGUs, including the barangays, as well as their population and income will affect the allocation of Internal Revenue Allotment.*JG
