A new library opens

The blessing and opening of the RU Library for the out-of-school youth in Brgy. Pahanocoy, Bacolod City, recently was officiated by Fr. Romeo Tomonong.

U.P. Los Banos Chancelor Dr. Fernando Sanchez, with owner Ramon Uy Sr. and his wife May Aileen, cut the ceremonial ribbon.

The library will serve as a training center for the youth to develop their skills, abilities and potential.

The signing of a memorandum of understanding between the R.U. Foundry and Machine Shop Corporation and Agricultural Development Foundation. Department of Agrarian Reform, U.P. Los Baños and Nonescost was also held on the same occasion.

Present at the affair were UPBL Chancellor Dr. Fernando Sanchez, DAR Secretary Virgilio de los Reyes, DAR Region VI Director Stephen Leonidas, Celso Nonescost president, Romulo Sisno, Ronald Gareza, Sr. Rebecca of St. Vincent Homes, and Sr. Vicenta Anuran of St. Scholastica and many others.*
