Letter to a bishop

This letter written by Michael Lofton, a columnist in Church Militant was forwarded to me. It is most of all timely. Ireland, the bulwark of the Church has approved same-sex marriage and a gay Filipino lawyer filed a case in the Supreme Court to open gay marriage in the Philippine by declaring the Family Code as unconstitutional. The Code defines marriage as union of man and woman as it should be in accordance with natural and divine law.

In the United States, the Supreme Court is about to issue a decision on this same issue so that Catholics there will hold a Rosary Rally on June 13 as “America needs 0ur Lady of Fatima” to prevent this “sexual anarchy.”

The letter reads, “To the Most Reverend Bishop Asmodeus, Your Excellency,

“Our plan is going very well, and since I have not written to you recently, I wanted to give you a report of our progress.

“I have instructed all of my clergy to concern themselves with inconsequential matters like climate control and immigration reform rather than defending life, maintaining orthodoxy and disciplining dissident clergy. For the most part, the clergy here are on board with our plan.

“We did, however, have one prelate recently defend the truth in public, but we have managed to divert his attention with a lawsuit. With this prelate threatened to such a degree, weaker bishops who have a slight disposition to defend the truth will not dare to do so in public.

“The demolition of the liturgy is going very well. We have feminized the liturgy and have dissuaded men from pursuing the priesthood as a result. Through our mode of distributing the Eucharist, we have ensured that sacrilege will take place at nearly every Mass. The key is to shift the focus of the liturgy from God to man.

“Concerning morals, you will be glad to know we have neglected to teach anything from Scripture or Tradition that might convict someone engaging in immorality. The clergy and laity both promote the most grievous sins, as if they were merely natural acts. The way to accomplish this is to compare those who oppose these sins to the Pharisees.

“We have done a wondrous job in convincing people that all religions lead to God, except that One True Religion, of which we must never show any tolerance.

“The key to accomplishing this is to reduce everything to mere opinion, as if there were no such thing as objective truth. If you manage to accomplish this much, you have won the battle.

“Remember to have the clergy in Babylon who are faithful to our cause twist the truth under the guise of orthodox language. We can't be so careless as to explicitly teach heresy. Thus, use terms like "mercy" to promote sacrilege and "compassion" to condone immortality.

“I trust you will serve our master Bp. Abaddon with relentless vigor.

“P.S. Father Plutus sends his regards. Yours Faithfully, Bishop Haagenti”

The letter is imaginary, a parody but the names are based on ancient times. Knowing them will make you understand the message and what's happening today.

Flabium Asmodeus (Flabium Glasya-Labolos) is one of the four great satans in charge of military affairs in hell. Haagenti is the strategy specialist known as the Egyptian goddess Bestet. Dante Alighieri identified Plutus in “Inferno” as the demon of wealth who guards the 4 th circle of Hell. Plutus is the hoarder and waster of wealth, symbolizing the accumulation of wealth.

Abaddon is the place of lost souls and often identified as hell, the “bottomless pit.” He symbolizes the prelate of those in hell.

The battle that evil is waging was foreseen by Pope Leo XIII (1878-1903). It is said that the Pope had a vision of Satan whispering to Jesus and saying “give me a hundred years and I will destroy your Church.” The Pope was so horrified that he composed and directed the Prayer to St. Michael to be said after all Masses. This rule disappeared after Vatican II and most don't pray this.

It is now worth praying by priests after the Mass or Rosary or personally. “St. Michael, the Archangel, defend us in the day of battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray! And thou, O Prince of the Heavenly Host by the power of God cast unto hell satan and all the other evil spirits that roam throughout the world seeking the ruin of souls! Amen.”*
