Pump prices up by P.25 per liter

MANILA –- Oil firms will hike pump prices by 25 cents per liter today, the Department of Energy said.

In an advisory, the department said big oil players such as Pilipinas Shell Petroleum Corp. (PSPC) and Chevron Philippines Inc. (CPI) will increase the prices of gasoline by 25 centavos per liter.

On the other hand, Phoenix Petroleum Philippines said it will also increase their gas products by 25 centavos per liter.

The DOE noted that Shell and Chevron will also raise their kerosene products by 10 centavos per liter.

The three firms will implement the price changes at 6 a.m. today.

The department also stressed there was no advisories for price adjustments for diesel products.

Meanwhile, for liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) increases, the DOE said Solane, Gasul and Petronas have hiked prices by P2.95 per kilogram (kg).

The department also said Liquigaz will increase its LPG prices by P2.50/kg at 12:01 a.m. Tuesday.

Eastern Petroleum, on the other hand, will hike its prices by P2.90/kg starting 6 a.m. today.*PNA
