The acceptance by Camarines Sur Rep. Leni Robredo of the Liberal Party offer to be the running mate of administration presidential candidate Manuel “Mar” Roxas II in the 2016 elections has added fire and heart to the LP campaign, Negros Occidental Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. said yesterday.
“I am enjoining all Negrenses to support the LP standard bearers for 2016,” the governor said.
Negros Occidental Vice Governor Eugenio Jose Lacson yesterday requested the Governor's Office for the itemized programs and projects under the 20 percent development fund, peace and order fund, 5 percent calamity fund and the gender and development fund of the province for 2016.
Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr. has proposed a 2016 budget of P2,884,929,000 for Negros Occidental or P247,099,000 more than the 2015 budget of the province for approval by the Negros Occidental Sangguniang Panlalawigan.
Lacson said he also requested for itemized programs and projects when the SP deliberated on the budget last year, which the governor's office also facilitated.
