CEBU CITY – The Land Transportation Office 7 announced they have designated 17 of their offices in Central Visayas, four of these in Negros Oriental, that are authorized to print driver's license cards and release them to the applicants.

LTO 7 director Arnel Tancinco said these include five in Metro Cebu, four in Cebu province, three in Bohol province, and one in Siquijor.

In Negros Oriental, these are the Driver's License Renewal Center inside Robinsons Mall in Dumaguete City, Dumaguete City District Office, Bais City District Office, and Bayawan City Extension Office.

More ‘shabu' seized in anti-illegal
drugs operations

Anti-illegal drugs operatives arrested a suspected pusher and seized more suspected methamphetamine hydrochloride or shabu during a police operation yesterday at a low-cost housing site in Dumaguete City, Negros Oriental.

Around 6:30 a.m., combined elements of the PIB- SOG of the Philippine National Police Provincial Office, headed by Chief Insp. Benedick Poblete, in coordination with the PNP's Provincial Anti-Illegal Drugs Special Operations Task Group, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency local office and the Dumaguete City police, arrested one Darwin Bungcasan Cabatingan, 41, married, and a resident of the Cadawinonan Housing Project in Barangay Cadawinonan.

5 bands to compete in grand finals

Five bands from Negros Oriental made it to the grand finals of the Positive Energy battle of the bands, organized by the Energy Development Corp., this weekend in Dumaguete City.

They are the G-Clef, Perfect Blend, Birefringence, Random Play, and The Generals, and were chosen from among nine semi-finalists, who performed at the Hayahay Resto-Bar in Dumaguete City Saturday.

The four other bands from Negros Oriental who did not make it were Burden of the Sea, Prejudice, Eavesdrop and Elijah.
