Monico Cycling Cup

Strong headwinds, rain and the heat of the midday sun did not stop the Three R's Team in pedaling past nine other teams en route to winning the 2 nd Mayor Monico Cycling Cup Open Category Sunday, a press release from the City Mayor's Office said.

Three R's Team is composed of Reymer Fuentes, Jonjon Bandong and James Castro and Team Captain Rene Tamaño Jr., who finished the Bacolod-Cadiz-Bacolod route with a time of 3:35:23. Coming in close second was Team Talsik A, who crossed the finish line at 3:35:25.

SJI dribbler Coo joins
Jr. NBA cast in China

Daniel Anthony Coo, a 14-year-old Grade 8 student of St. John's Institute in Bacolod City will be joining the Jr. NBA Experience Trip to Shenzhen, China from October 9-12.

Coo was selected as one of the top 10 Jr. NBA All Stars of the Philippines during a 3-day boot camp held in summer at the Mall of Asia.

Other Jr. NBA ALL STARS representing the Philippines are Luigi Santos, Ateneo, Baste Locsin, Lloyd Oliva and Roby Castro of Lasalle Greenhills. Allen Magno of St. Albert the Great School, Ernest John Felicilda, Corpus Christi Highschool, Edrian Custodio Lasalle Zobel, Josh Garing La Salle Lipa and Jeffrey Mailim, Adamson.

Silverado bowlers target
twice-to-beat edge in final

Silverado/ASSFBI is one win away from clinching the twice-to-beat advantage in the premiere division, while Super Batchoy stayed on top in category B of the 1 st Golden Fuel Mixed Trio Bowling Extravaganza 2015 at the Negros Super Lanes of the Goldenfield Commercial Complex in Bacolod City.

Action will start at 6:30 tonight

En route to today's penultimate day of action, the Silverado pin crushers of Cecil Ramon Silverio carry a nine-round collection of 8,840 points.
