First day of COC filing in
Neg. Or. uneventful
BY JUDY F. PARTLOW

The first day of the filing of certificates of candidacy by aspirants in the 2016 polls was uneventful, the Commission on Elections in the province said yesterday.

Provincial Election Supervisor, Eddie Aba, said it is a natural occurrence that only a handful of political wannabes show up on the first day of the filing of COCs as many tend to wait until the last day or even the last hour to submit their documents.

The reasons vary, from having to complete their political party lineups, last minute negotiations with other politicians or political parties, and even the completion of the Comelec requirements, Aba said. moremoremore
